I've run this past my friend Lynn, who's a hand analyst (http://www.handanalysis.co.uk/ - she's very good) to see what her thoughts are on this, and why it should be.
Will let you know if she comes up with anything interesting!

I read it and to be honest I think it makes sense, a little bit like EFT. Physical actions while conditioning the mind (well if you believe that memory is in the mind, as far as i am aware there is no evidence for this) - well thats what I thought :-)

Have you ever thanked someone and place your arm on there arm, with a gentle tap - try it and record the reaction :-)
