Conference Speakers and Workshop Presenters

Speakers and Workshop Presenters - Biographies

Gary Biltcliffe and Caroline Hoare
Gary has dedicated the last 30 years to historical research and investigation of earth mysteries, dowsing ancient sites, uncovering lost knowledge and early folklore. From an early age, his fascination with the esoteric was inspired by numerous real-life paranormal experiences. He has appeared on radio and television and has lectured widely in the UK and North America. Gary has also led International groups around Britain’s sacred sites and written articles for journals and magazines. He moved to Dorset in 1993 and his research of the county’s ancient history culminated in his first publication The Spirit of Portland, Revelations of a Sacred Isle in 2009. Caroline Hoare was brought up on a farm in the heart of the Dart Valley in South Devon. She started her working life in a Fine Art auction house and later transferred to the world of publishing and book selling. Caroline moved from London to Dorset in 2003 and trained as a Geomancer, Feng Shui Consultant and Holistic Interior Designer. She has also spent the last nine years alongside Gary travelling to lost cities around the world, researching history and ancient civilisations and has a keen interest in the mythology and folklore of Britain. http://www.belinusline.com

Joanne Bosonnet
Not many of us can claim that a King of England inspired us to take up dowsing, but Joanne Bosonnet can. During the Wars of the Roses, King Henry VI took refuge for eighteen months on Bolton Hall Estate in the Forest of Bowland in Lancashire. Whilst in hiding there he amused himself by dowsing on the estate and found a spring which still, five hundred and fifty years later, produces generous quantities of pure, clear water.
Joanne’s family owns Bolton Hall Estate and she set up a company to market King Henry VI Water. Whilst researching King Henry's history, she was inspired to learn how to dowse so that she could follow in his footsteps and demonstrate to her clients how the spring was found. She was soon fascinated by dowsing and has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience that goes far beyond bottling water.

Allan Brownie
Allan Brownie and friends came together in 2011 to form the BA Dowsing Team in North East Scotland and have been asked to dowse for buried tractors, cars, old weaponry and even a steam train! The BA Dowsing Team is committed to “Unearthing the Past” and in shedding some light on dowsing with some contemporary evidence which supports the positive power of dowsing.

Don Bryan – Chairman the BSD Archaeological Dowsing Special Interest Group.
Don is a life-long archaeologist for some 55 years. He assisted on several "Rescue Digs" throughout the 60s and 70s. A founder member of the Pendragon Society he has excavated at Tintagel, Glastonbury and South Cadbury. After taking early retirement from BT in 1995 he took the opportunity to take a Degree in Field Archaeology at Southampton University and became a Tutor at Eastleigh College to teach Archaeology to A2 standard. He taught at Barton Peveril College Fareham College and, for 16 years, at Eastleigh College. Don serves on several archaeological committees including Hampshire Field Club and Winchester Archaeology, as well as the Hampshire Archaeological Council. Seven years ago he founded Hampshire Archaeological Dowsers (HADs) which has grown to become the largest archaeological dowsing group in the country with a membership of almost 40. This is probably the most productive practical group in the UK and I am delighted to be their Archaeological Director.

Judy Fraser
Judy Fraser has covered more ground than most in her lifetime, both internally and externally. This shy self-effacing woman is well known throughout the world for her pioneering work in the field of spiritual psychotherapy. She has a big following who have benefited from her unique insight into their problems and an equally large number still seeking her advice and support. She has written three books ‘The Soul Searcher - Scenes from my life’, ‘Second Aid’ and ‘The Anonymous Mystic’. http://www.judyfraser.com

Rasmus Gaupp-Berghausen
Rasmus Gaupp - Berghausen, is Head Researcher of Dr Masuru Emoto’s European research office, the Hado Life Europe Laboratory, in Lichtenstein. The main focus of his research and work conducted at Hado Life Europe is the evaluation of water or water containing liquids for their form-giving characteristics/changes despite chemical and/or microbiological identical properties. During his research Rasmus was able to identify that frozen water, magnified under a microscope, shows different qualities depending on their recognizable harmonic structures. The work of Rasmus Gaupp – Berghausen at Dr Emoto’s Hado Life Europe laboratory contributes further to our understanding of our life regulating processes. The main assumption of this work if that the more harmonic and thus recognizable the structure, the more positive effect it might have on its surroundings. Further, the research may show that different vibrations have an influence on the structure, and that a modulation of vibration itself can have beneficial properties. A further area of Rasmus’s research is that of amniotic fluid, to show that vibrations such as ultrasound have an influence of the properties of water. The aim is to evaluate if a modulation of vibration can lead to a quality enhancement.

Paul Gerry
Paul qualified as a Clinical Neurophysiologist nearly 40 years ago after studying Healthcare Science. A Neurophysiologist is typically a specialist in a particular field of diagnostic medicine who gives a hospital’s medical doctors in depth analysis of that specific field. Paul’s specialism has been the function and processes of the brain. He uses highly complex technology (primarily EEG systems), to identify the brain’s dysfunctional state in both mental and physical illness of a patient presenting with different conditions. As such Paul has in his forty years analysed the brain-wave patterns of all sorts of people across the entire spectrum of age from newborn to those who have recently died. His experience also encompasses people in all states of mental health too: from the relaxed and ‘sane’ to the acutely ill.

Guy Hudson
Guy is an Electromagnetic Surveyor and Water Dowser solving water problems for businesses, farms and homes. Guy finds water sources, and also detects leaks and faults, and solves complex larger drainage problems. On the larger projects, he often work within a professional team, which is likely to include drillers, water engineers, architects, surveyors, geologists, agricultural technologists and builders. He has been jointly responsible for provision of wells, pumped water and sanitation for over 150,000 people in Africa, by dowsing for the charity Village Water (of which he is a trustee).

Philippa Langley
Philippa is the secretary of the Scottish Branch of the Richard III Society and a screenwriter with a passion to tell stories that challenge our perception of established truths. Currently writing a film script about the real Richard III, she inaugurated the quest for King Richard's lost grave as part of her ongoing research into history's most controversial monarch. Her project marked the first-ever search for the grave of an anointed King of England, and was made into an acclaimed TV documentary for Channel 4. Her dowsing intuition was part of the search. King Richard’s reburial project, culminated in a fitting re-interment ceremony and memorial in Leicester Cathedral. Philippa is now looking to secure a deal for her film script to tell the real story of King Richard III.

Jim Lyons
Jim Lyons with a background as an Aeronautical and electrical engineer with a personal interest and study of quantum physics, Jim is a founder member of the British Research group as well as the Earth Energies group within the British Society of Dowsers. The Dowsing Research Group was formed some 21 years ago. The aims were and still are “to investigate all relevant factors involved in the process of dowsing and from this formulate a model in line with established scientific principles for the purpose of explaining known observations and predicting possible new ones”.

Alanna Moore
Alanna is a master dowser with over 30 years’ experience. She helped to found the New South Wales Dowsing Society in 1984 and is now a patron of the Australian Dowsers Society. She is the author of seven books, has made 21 films and has produced several magazines about dowsing in Australia since 1982. Geomantica magazine began in 1998. It went online in 2000 and is now archived by the National Library of Australia. Alanna has extensively travelled around Australia teaching dowsing and geomancy, and building Power Towers to enhance plant growth. Since 2000 she has been an international speaker and teacher, presenting in New Zealand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Holland, Poland, Sweden, UK and Ireland.
